This is a product from our Acoustic Emission (AE) series. The envelope detection makes it easier to detect the peak values of AE signals. With a time constant peak detection, even brief signals become more visible. The signals are converted to a smoother form, allowing for recording on data recorders with slower sampling rates, which is helpful for AE analysis using externally connected analysis equipment. You can choose a time constant of either 1 msec or 100 μsec. The gain can be selected at 0/20/40 dB. There are models IMA243-05 that supplies a 5V line drive power and IMA243-15 that supplies 15V, both of which can be connected to various preamplifiers. The IMA243 without line drive power can be used for general signal envelope detection. It operates on a mobile battery (USB Type-C 5V), making it usable outdoors, and it is compact and lightweight, offering excellent portability.
